Description: Deputy Taylor responded to a disturbance call where a man with a rifle allegedly committed acts of public lewdness and sexually explicit behavior at a motel on Bear Creek Road in Curtin, Oregon. Because the suspect was reported armed, Deputy Taylor waited for back up before approaching the motel room where the suspect was located. After back up arrived, Deputy Taylor attempted to arrest the suspect. The suspect then opened fire with a high-powered rifle. Deputy Taylor was wearing his vest, but was shot fatally in the head.
